Studio By The Tracks presents Gentle Things, an exhibition by Artist-in-Residence Leah Hamel. The exhibition invites community members to participate in the creation of the project through papermaking and sculpture making days open to the public. "Gentle Things" is a collection inspired by the artists of Studio By The Tracks. During my residency, I collaborated closely with Ruth E. and Jason, whose work helped shape my own. Much of the artwork created at SBTT radiates joy and often reflects the beauty of the natural world. This experience has encouraged me to focus on the simple moments in life, like the vibrant blooms in my garden or the delicate flutter of a butterfly. Each piece serves as a gentle reminder to pause and savor these fleeting joys. In our fast-paced world, I believe we all need these reminders of the gentle things that surround us.
