ceramics Studio
In our ceramics studio, not only do we make bowls, mugs, figurines, pots, unique sculptures, and more—but we teach you how to make them, too. We have an active studio membership for the use of our facility, as well as a regular schedule of introductory classes in our studio. Every student that takes a class leaves with several of their own pieces and the skills to build on the next time they find themselves in a studio. Looking for a studio memberships?
Ceramics classes tend to fill up quick, join our newsletter if you’d like to be notified of new class openings or email us to be added to a specific class’s waitlist.

Ceramics: Alternative Surface Design
Four Sessions over four weeks
Pre-requisite: Intro to Ceramics: Throwing or previous instruction on the wheel
Ages: 16+ (12 and up are welcome if signed up with an adult)
This class will start right up with throwing so previous instruction on the wheel is beneficial whether it is our Intro to Ceramics: Throwing or an introductory class elsewhere.
This three-week intermediate ceramics course, Alternative Surface Design, introduces students to innovative surface decoration techniques that enhance wheel-thrown forms. Through demonstrations and hands-on practice, participants will explore throwing forms on the wheel designed with surface design in mind, airbrushing underglaze, creating designs using stencils, and textural applications using slip and underglaze, and/or "goop" glazes. This course is ideal for students with prior wheel-throwing experience who want to expand their decorative techniques and refine their aesthetic approach.
